Our approach
Credit Council USA aims to make its website useful to people with different abilities, devices, and ways of accessing information. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA as a design and development target.
Accessibility is ongoing work. This statement describes our approach and the features provided; it is not a claim of independent certification or complete conformance.
Features on this site
- Headings, navigation landmarks, and a skip link help you move through pages.
- Interactive controls support keyboard use and show a visible focus indicator.
- Contact fields have visible labels, required-field indicators through native form behavior, and feedback for submission errors.
- Informative images have text alternatives, and decorative elements are kept separate from the reading flow.
- Layouts adapt to smaller screens and browser zoom.
- Reduced-motion preferences are respected.
Tell us about a barrier
If something is difficult to read, navigate, or use, please send accessibility feedback. Include the page address, what you were trying to do, and what got in the way. If helpful, tell us the browser or assistive technology you were using.
You do not need to share a diagnosis or other sensitive personal information. Let us know the best way to respond and whether you need the information in a different format.
External resources and improvements
Some articles link to external resources with their own accessibility practices. If a linked resource is difficult to use, tell us which information you were looking for so we can consider another way to help.
We consider accessibility when updating the site and use feedback to identify improvements. The date above shows when this statement was last updated.
